May Day is a fun celebration which, when we were younger meant dancing around the May pole with pretty ribbons. Today it isn't celebrated much except to some of those who wish to put a smile on others faces by leaving a bouquet of flowers just for them.Andrea thought it would be nice to make a little basket out of old vegetable cans and filling them with flowers. So we met at her house and had fun decorating cans which she was going to deliver Sat morning to a local retirement center. She was to place them at each table setting and was to sneak out before the residents got up to go in for breakfast.
Did'nt they turn out pretty? We hope this put a smile on each of the residents faces and started their day off well.
